Samsung working on three devices as part of Project J

More news from the folks over at SamMobile indicates Samsung’s Project J actually constitutes three devices. According to previous reports, Project J was the code name for the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV. Over the past few months as we have watched for information about Samsung’s successor to the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, we have seen the Galaxy S IV referred to as Project J, Altius and by the model number GT-I9500. The assumption has been that Project J referred to that one device, the Galaxy S IV. Based on upcoming accessories, SamMobile now reports the code name actually refers to three devices.

The other devices that are believed to be part of Project J include the Project J Mini otherwise known as Serrano and the Project J Active or Fortius. The Serrano device is believe to be a smaller, perhaps less powerful version of the Galaxy S IV, following in the footsteps of the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini. The Fortius appears to be some type of semi-wearable or rugged device as the accessories include things like an Arm Band, a Bike Mount, and a Pouch. Listed below are the accessories for each of the devices that have been discovered by SamMobile:

Project J Altius:

  • Clear Cover
  • Flip Cover
  • Protective Cover
  • Pouch
  • Extra Battery Kit
  • Battery 2600 mah
  • Wireless Charging Kit
  • HDTV Adapter
  • Headset

Project J Mini Serrano:

  • Clear Cover
  • Flip Cover
  • Protective Cover

Project J Active Fortius:

  • Arm Band
  • Bike Mount
  • Pouch

If accurate, and these three devices make up Project J, that leaves a couple more devices in the pipeline as well based on previous reports. Those include a large, 13.3-inch tablet device with a full QWERTY keyboard dock and a lightweight version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II with more modest hardware.

A wireless charging kit? Hopefully thats just the charge pad and not some required add on to the device.
