You didn’t think the M7 would be the only phone HTC would offer this year did you? We just got word on two more phones, codenamed M4 and G2. We probably won’t see these guys at the launch events on February 19, but they should hit stores this spring.
The M4 is going to sit just below the M7, much like the One S was to the One X. It will feature a 4.3-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens, 1.6MP front camera, and a 1700mAh battery.
The G2 shouldn’t be mistaken for the original HTC phone. Again this is a codename. It will be an entry-level device and feature a 3.5-inch HVGA (480 x 320) display, 1.0GHz ARM Cortex, 512MB of RAM, 4G of storage, microSD slot, 5MP rear camera, and 1400mAh. It won’t even come with Jelly Bean and instead come with Ice Cream Sandwich.
I would think we would see these phones at Mobile World Congress, but the source says no. We will have to wait and see.
