Is a Tegra 2 powered HTC Android tablet on the way?

Pegatron Technology, a Taiwanese notebook manufacturer, has reportedly taken a tall order from HTC for their heavily rumored Android tablet. The device will supposedly boast an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, a 32GB solid state drive, a multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280×720, 2GB memory, and the usual GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.

The tablet is also rumored to feature support for Chrome web apps, as well as the Android Market, and will come with a price tag of about $800 US before carrier subsidies. We will definetely be keeping a close eye on this one, so stay tuned for more details.
