For those of you who own the Galaxy S III on AT&T and absolutely despise Samsung’s Kies desktop software (you have every right to), you’ll be excited to know that the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now officially rolling out to handsets over-the-air. As expected, users can expect all the new features that come with the dot upgrade, including a refreshed TouchWiz, Google Now integration and the incredible smoothness of Project Butter.
If the update hasn’t already shown up, you’ll need to manually check for the new firmware by heading to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates. You’re going to need to be connected to Wi-Fi to download the file and at least 30% battery life to complete the process. Godspeed. We’ll see you on the other side.
