Along with its new line of Evo tablets, Alcatel is dipping its toes into the higher-end Android smartphone market with the introduction of its Idol and Idol Ultra handsets.
The company is touting its One Touch Idol Ultra as the thinnest smartphone currently on the market, measuring in at just 6.45mm thick. It also sports a 4.7-inch OLED HD display and an 8-megapixel camera. The One Touch Idol is aimed more towards the lower-end market, featuring a 4.7-inch qHD panel and an 8-megapixel camera. Both devices run atop Mediatek’s 1.2GHz dual-core 6577 processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
