We just reported that HTC will be updating its Sense UI to version 5.0 with the release of its next batch of flagship phones; namely, the yet to be confirmed M7. Sense 5.0 is rumored to have a cleaner and simpler UI, and we may be getting the first glimpse of it in these images from a Chinese website. There’s not much to see here, but it does look like HTC is working toward a more minimalistic design scheme, and we’re liking it a lot! Jump past the break to see the updated Keyboard.  What do you guys think? Are you liking HTC’s new design direction?

    Hate it to be honest.

Worst part of seeing the keyboard screenshot is that you can tell HTC doesn’t know how to design hardware buttons. They are stilling using hardware buttons yet they lack the menu key. So you get a giant onscreen button for you’re menu with legacy apps (the majority of apps in the play store). So does that mean the new keyboard is a gingerbread app?!?

Ya…they really need to fix that ugly menu button issue. It might be the facebook app in this screenshot that is calling for an expandable menu icon.

They fixed the menu issue a while ago, now you tap the multitask key for menu, and hold the multitask key to multitask. Or you adjust the settings to have it the other way round. Works quite well actually.
