According to a new report by Nielsen, Android users are the most likely to click on in-app ads. Android comes in around 33%, with 29% for Windows Mobile, 26% for iOS, 22%, for Palm, 15% for Blackberry, and 24% for all others combined.
Nielsen suggests that the higher click-through rate may be a direct result of the typically younger Android user base, who are more used to mobile ads than an older audience. The results were based on a survey of 4,000 mobile subscribers who had downloaded an app in the last 30 days.
Developers who were weary of making the jump to Android may be more inclined after learning of these results.
