Verizon Fascinate’s long list of issues gets leaked

The latest Galaxy S phone by Samsung just hit the Verizon stores this week, but it might have been released a little too soon.  If there is one thing that’s not so fascinating about the Samsung Fascinate, it’s the long list of bugs that got leaked out over at BoyGeniusReport.com.  Some of the issues are minor, but others are annoying enough to make you want a refund – at least until they get an update pushed out.  The bugs range from broken calendar notifications and email/exchange problems, to blank screen issues and call disconnects.

I really feel for anyone getting a new phone with all of these defects. I just got my Samsung Captivate, and I’m quite pleased with it. I’m surprised there are that many differences in the software, unless VZ specified changes that messed up some other things.

One drawback with subsidized phones is the control that carriers have on software and configurations that often cripple the phone into mediocrity.
