Echofon for Android now available in Google Play Store

While it seems like there are more than enough Twitter clients in existence, new ones seem to pop up on a fairly regular basis. Echofon for Android is a good example as it went from an alpha release only a month ago to being available in the Google Play Store today. Echofon is not really a new Twitter client as it has been available for a long time on Apple platforms, both desktop/laptop units and mobile devices as well as Windows-based PCs. The expansion to include support for Android devices is a significant new direction that may make it especially attractive for users who are moving from an iOS device to an Android based device.

One of the key features that makes Echofon popular is the ability to keep timelines in sync across devices without the use of a third-party service. Echofon offers a full set of Twitter functions, threaded conversations, and the ability to access multiple accounts. Unlike other platforms, the Android version includes widgets for homescreens.

Echofon for Android is free, so use one of the download links below to get your copy installed.
