Best Buy to sell Insignia Flex Tablet in November for $239 to $259, sources confirm

Last weekend we reported that Best Buy was gearing up to launch its in-house Insignia Flex Tablet with a 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. New information suggests that the world’s biggest retailer plans to launch the device for $239 to $259, slating the 9.7-inch tablet in between competitors like Amazon’s line of Kindle Fires, Google’s own Nexus 7 and Apple’s upcoming iPad mini.

Best Buy has used its Insignia brand to provide cheaper alternatives to customers looking for HDTVs, Blu-Ray players, speakers, as well as various other consumer electronics. Having been an owner of an Insignia television, I can’t necessarily vouch for its build quality, as it only lasted for a few months before completely self-destructing. However, that’s not to say that Best Buy hasn’t upped its efforts with the new tablet, but we won’t know until the device makes its debut on November 11th.
