32GB Nexus 7 could spell doom for the16GB model

As previously reported, we all know a 32GB version of the Nexus 7 is coming, but now there seems to be a new twist; the 16GB model could be phased out. If this information holds true, the new model will still have a $249.99 MSRP just like its 16GB brother, but sport twice the internal storage. Maybe Google is taking input on how wildly successful the 16GB version was at launch, and giving new customers a reason to spend the extra $50 instead of aiming for one of Amazon’s latest Fire series tablets. From this recent information I would advise any of you who are looking for a new tablet to hold off for a few more weeks to see what Google and ASUS have in store.

This newest rumor would make sense as to why a Japanese customer received a 32GB version in the mail after ordering a 16GB version, as well as lend some truth to a few whispers of potentially removing the $199.99 8GB version from stores as well. For now, we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground and wait the next piece of information to leak or something gets officially announced.

Everyone who bought already gets screwed

That’s what happens with everything. Early adopters don’t really have anything to show for it, maybe bragging rights. I usually wait for everything. Especially games. I never pay full price.
