T-Mobile myTouch 3G With Google Now Official

T-Mobile have finally officially announced that their second Android powered handset will be the T-Mobile myTouch 3G.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google handset will be available across the US from early August, and will be priced at $199 as part of a 2-year agreement.

The myTouch 3G handset is the same device as the Google Ion phone that was given out at the recent Google I/O event, but with a few subtle software changes.

myTouch 3G owners will have the ability to heavily customize the phone’s menus, wallpapers, icons and a number of other UI changes thanks to the use of themes and skins.

The handset will also be available in three colors when it’s launched later this year – black, white and a “distinctive” merlot design.

T-Mobile US will also start accepting pre-orders for the myTouch 3G from July 8th.

  1. T-Mobile really dropped the ball on this. If they had wanted to they could have had this out weeks or months earlier. I’ll bet good money that the reason it’s not out now is that they are busy developing a bunch of pointless T-mobile-branded special apps that 90% of us will delete on the first day.

  2. Meant to add: how many people are going to not bother waiting and just go for an iPhone? As only the second Android phone, how much is this going to hurt Android usage in the US? The American mobile phone market is completely messed up.

  3. I am looking forward 2 this phone I’m sure its going 2 be a GREAT investment. Suck on that
