Samsung releases upgrade to Android 1.6 for Galaxy GT-I7500

Samsung, in true “whoops-we-forgot-about-one” fashion, has released an official update to Android 1.6 (Donut) for the Galaxy GT-I7500. According to O2 Germany, the new upgrade is officially available. While it may not be Froyo, or even Eclair, it is still an improvement to the device, however small of a leap it may be.

The upgrade can be run through Samsung’s official PC Studio Software.

Any of our GT-I7500 touting readers, be sure to let us know how the upgrade goes if you try it out for yourself!

Sick and tired with that PC Studio. What I’m supposed to do to it that it would even regocnise I7500?! It won’t even make backup ’cause it doesn’t know the phone.. ..and says that there is no need or existing update to the PC studio. I go for Ericsson next time..

And yes, some error occurred – no updating happend. Blah. If this is only USE – please tell how to correct it..

I’ve connected my phone to the PC Studio. But it shows that there is no update for the phone. But my firmware is still 1.5. Help please

This information is not correct because the Samsung GT I7500 won’t update. I installed WIndows XP, a fresh copy of the latest Samsung studio software, connected my I7500 and then the software says “Upgrade for this model not needed”.

So, I’m still on Android 1.5

i think thats because there’s not any official update for i7500 at all. all the internet is full of unofficial roms for i7500. this phone is a total loser. i shouldn’t have bought this phone.

but i don’t want to give up so i have to say this, if i’m wrong and there’s official update for i7500 the someone tell me how will i do it.

I want to have regular updates on my samsungphone GT-i7500galaxy.In Google I went to log in androidmarket for updating my phone but my gifted mobile reads not compatible and verified.Please guide me to upgrade and downloading free applications.I want to know RSS feed!
