US Cellular now offers a CDMA version of the HTC Desire. The device is available for $199.95, and is their second Android device, hot on the heels of the Samsung Acclaim, which was launched just a few weeks ago. The specs are quite similar to the GSM version of the Desire, with:

  • 3.7″ screen
  • Optical Touchpad
  • 5MP Camera
  • 1GHz Snapdragon CPU

Now that it’s available in CDMA, let’s hope that one of the other major US CDMA carriers picks this gem up… Sprint, are you listening? To check it out on US Cellular for yourself, click here.

Be sure to check out the full press release after the break, and let us know where you would like to see this device in the comments.

CHICAGO (August 27, 2010) – The wait for the U.S. debut of the HTC Desire smartphone is finally over. Hey how about java support on the new update so we can play java games? I know android games are written in the java language so I don’t see how it would be much trouble. Apple is doing it soooo….. And maybe a fix that would let desire work with Bluetooth controlers? This would boost the phone a lot please fix in the update.
