Earlier this month Verizon’s roadmap for the end of year leaked. Amidst the Motorola and Samsung products we saw a glimpse of what might be Verizon’s shining star come this winter, the HTC Merge. Now BGR has given us photos of an HTC phone for Verizon, which is likely to be the Merge. From the photos we can see that it will sport an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, a kickstand bearing the inscription “WITH HTC SENSE”, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a front-facing camera. The phone is said to have a 4.3-inch screen, a claim backed up by the pic next to the iPhone 4. In our earlier report we said the Merge would have a 10 megapixel camera and would also be one of the first phones sporting a processor of over 1 GHz. We now see that the 10 megapixel spec was untrue but I’m still holding out hope that the amped up processor is for real. Stay optimistic until we know better folks, Verizon may be getting an EVO on steroids. More photos after the break.
