If you use Google Calendar, you should expect to see a couple changes starting to show up in the next day or two. Google’s aim for the update is to make scheduling events easier, which includes a revamped, less cluttered UI for creating new events.
Another new feature is a tab for improving the way times can be scheduled. If your friends or coworkers give you permission to view their calendar, you can use this new tab to get a quick view of their events, and more specifically, the time they have scheduled those events. This will allow users to avoid making scheduling conflicts between friends and colleagues, especially when there is an event with a large number of guests.
Google has also beefed up the code a bit, and while these changes only effect how Google Calendar functions under the hood, that will translate into a smoother, more pleasant user experience.
