The Apple Vs. Samsung trial began today, in California, and some court documents were made public revealing Samsung’s future tablet plans. Samsung is working on a tablet dubbed “P10″, the tablet would include LTE connectivity and an 11.8-inch display at 2560×1600 resolution (WQXGA). As Samsung is one of the world’s largest suppliers of LCDs and AMOLEDs, it’s no surprise they would push a screen to rival that of the iPad. Given the pixel density of 256 ppi, the P10 would qualify as a ‘Retina’ display, although, I’m sure Samsung will come up with something more creative to call it. Hit the break for the court doc to see for yourself.

This P10 tablet has been rumored for quite some time. It was originally thought Samsung would announce it back at MWC, although we were let down. Speculation suggest the massive tablet will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 5250 series chip. The ARM Cortex-A15-based processor would push the limits to a stunning 2GHz and possibly beyond.

I’m a huge fan of 7-inch tablets like the Nexus 7. It’s the perfect size for ultimate portability, and you don’t have to strain your eyes when watching your favorite content. With that said, I would love to give the P10 a whirl, especially if the rumored specs turn out to be the real deal.
