Huawei Technologies joins the rat race

Huawei Technologies, a very large company based in China, is the latest to throw their hat in the Android phone ring. Their upcoming phone, which right now is only known as the U8150, will have a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, GPS, 528 MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity, and Android 2.2. While this is clearly not going to be the next super phone it’s always worth taking note when a company this large enters the game. No word yet on a release for the U8150.

Update – This is not Huawei’s first Android phone, only the first with Android 2.2. Thanks to curse and Trebor for keeping me honest in the comments.
