New HTC 1.7GHz Quad-Core Device Shows Up In Benchmarks, Potential New “One” Phone?

Due to HTC’s success in their current “One” lineup such as their HTC One X and HTC One S, perhaps it was only amount of time before HTC released the next iteration in their “One” lineup. According to benchmark data that was published today over at GLBenchmark, HTC is already working on another phone that sports the model number PM63100, which also goes by the code-name “Evitareul.” The PM63100 will run a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, although unlike the 1.5GHz One X, this will be clocked up to 1.7GHz. The phone will have a 720p HD display and currently ran Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich during the benchmark test. However once the phone is released, I expect HTC to release it with Jelly Bean.

Not much else is known about this device, although it looks like HTC is prepping this phone for AT&T and pair it with their LTE network. If you passed on the HTC One X and you’re a fan of HTC, this just might be the device for you.

I got my HTC One X from AT&T yesterday and got it all set up how I wanted this morning. My coworker, at Dish, told me to get it after he showed me his, and I had to switch to AT&T as soon as I could. I love the LTE network for streaming live TV and recordings straight to my phone, and using the Dish Remote Access with the Sling Adapter connected through my receiver, it’s as seamless as ever. I honestly can’t imagine a better option for streaming my TV straight to my phone, even without the quad-core processor.
