Clever hack puts mini USB on the Dell Streak

On top of the ancient Android 1.6 OS and the SIM lock that plagues the Dell Streak, the device is also lacking a mini USB port, which is the de facto standard among Android devices.

Unsatisfied with the PDMI port currently used by the Streak, John from Linux Slate soldered a mini USB adapter onto the phone’s board, and is now enjoying all the fun and joy that comes with having mini USB on your phone.  Check out video clip below to see the adapter in action.
