10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet

We’ve already heard a lot about the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet running Android 2.2, and come September we’ll know even more. But it seems that this is only the beginning of an apparent assault on the tablet market by Samsung. It’s now been reported that a 10-inch Galaxy tablet is also on it’s way. No other details have been leaked, but allow me to speculate just a bit. While the 7-inch version will be launching with Android 2.2 I think we can safely assume that they won’t put out the 10-inch version without Gingerbread inside. The 7-inch tablet will only have a screen resolution of 480×800, just barely enough for a screen that size. There’s no chance a 10-inch device releases without a more fitting screen resolution, and Gingerbread is said to support up to 1280×760 resolutions.

I’m in the market for a 10″ plus tablet in the UK. Will watch this carefully. Any other recommendations?

I would be happy with a 10 inch tab (wouldn’t we all!) As long as the processor was up to scratch

This is the one I would go for. The 7 inch would make a wonderful SatNav device but this is the one I would carry in my rucksack and take to places like Glastonbury sitting in the bright sun checking then uploading photos. The fanbois will be seriously dischuffed when this comes along.

i will buy the 7″ from samsung because 10″ is too big for me to go outside (plane, hotel during work, vacation) i will still have my 13″ MBP to carry because i need a real computer. The price should be right also around let say 370 Euros here in europe.

i want the 10 inch now.. a couple months is too long and i will succumb to the ipad

I think I would succumb to the iPad if it played Flash. As it is I’m looking forwards to a 7″ Android tablet with hopefully better than 1024×600 resolution.

Will wait for the 10 inch SGT. Probably buy it from Asia since the US version won’t have SIM card slot or phone features. Worth waiting for.

Why wait for a 10″ screen when the perfect size is out now. I have the 7″ and it is the best Android device I have owned. It runs better than the N1, Vibrant, myt3g, icrap 3gs, G1 all devices I have owned. It has completely replaced my laptop. If I could only own 1 device, this would be it.
