Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 OTA Update Incoming

After a couple of false starts (here and here), Verizon has finally updated the status of the Android 4.0.4 OTA update for their Galaxy Nexus to “coming soon”. The support page states that the update is indeed imminent and contains links to install instructions. Of course, if you’re impatient, there’s always the manual install.

The over-the-air update should start hitting Verizon Galaxy Nexii any time now, which will install build IMM76K, bringing the Verizon variant up to speed with the GSM and Sprint versions. A little slow to the party, Verizon, but thanks for showing up.

Anyone see it yet? Let us know in the comments!

this update has been “imminent” for weeks. I’ve learned not to get my hopes up. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Nothing yet! What exactly do they mean by coming soon? Why can’t they just give a specific date?

I was told by a very savvy tech that these notifications precede availability by about 3 days.
