Droid 1 is Revived – Back on Verizon’s Online Store

Everyone thought the Droid was finished with the recent release of the Droid 2 and the Droid X. It even went “out of stock” for a good period of time, at one point leaving Verizon’s store. Well it’s back now and has a nice price tag of $150 for anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to the Droid 2/Droid X (although you can get  it for free from online retailers with a 2 – year contract). I don’t know why they brought it back, quite frankly I don’t care. The Droid is the only Android phone you can get (at least in the US) with stock UI, no MotoBLUR or Sense. It’s also the only Motorola phone on Verizon that you don’t have to worry about that locked bootloader just in case you were thinking of joining the hacking community.

On a side note it looks like the Droid Incredible is finally done with shipping issues. It looks like the new screens are having no problems and anyone that has been waiting for this day should get on the site now before any other issues begin to come out (there is always something).
