HTC Evo 4G LTE Marketing Materials Emerge, Launching on May 18th?

At the beginning of the month we had the opportunity to attend Sprint and HTC’s announcement of the HTC Evo 4G LTE and even got to get a little hands on time with the device. Since then, we watched as Sprint fired up the reminder page for folks to sign up to receive an email when they start taking pre-orders on May 7th but we are still dying to know when the device will actually be released. According to the folks at Good and Evo, one of their “reliable” sources is telling them that the Evo 4G LTE has been “confirmed” for launch on Friday, May 18th and will actually arrive early in Sprint stores on the 14th. In addition to the suggested launch date, Good and Evo also stumbled across some Evo 4G LTE marketing materials (above and below) that should look similar to the ones that will be displayed inside Sprint retail locations.

As a reminder, the Evo 4G LTE will be Sprint’s version of the HTC One S and will retail for $199.99 on contract. The device will rock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich straight out of the box, sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD HD display , Sense 4, Beats Audio, Google Wallet, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB or RAM, an 8MP camera , 16GB of internal memory and will be the first device to utilize Sprint’s HD voice feature. If this all sounds like something you might be interested in, don’t forget to sign up to be reminded about the pre-orders on May 7th! So who’s getting one?

Must be a mistake in the article, everything I have read links the Evo LTE with the One X. If it is actually the One S, then maybe I will wait to see what Samsung cooks up this summer.

Are you sure you mean One S and not One X?
