Skytone Alpha 680 Android Netbook In The Wild

Last month Chinese manufacturer Skytone revealed their plans to launch the first Android powered netbook, the Skytone Alpha 680.

Here are some of the first real images of the Alpha 680 Android netbook in action:

Features of the alpha 680 will include:

  • OS: Google Android
  • Display: 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel toucshcreen
  • CPU: 533MHz ARM11 32bit
  • RAM: 128MB (up to 256MB)
  • Storage: 1GB flash memory (up to 4GB optional)
  • I/O:  2 USB ports, SD card slot
  • Connectivity: WiFi, Ethernet, GPRS, CDMA, EDGE, WCDMA
  • Video: Supports MPEG1/2/4, H.263, H.264, WM9

The Skytone Alpha 680 Android netbook is expected to launch in Q3 2009, priced at around $250.

    Well those specs are the same as in my mobile from HTC..

    All they’ve done is putting it inside of a laptop with a bigger screen (non-touchable.. well you can touch it but nothing will happen..) and a keyboard.. sigh.. but still Android notebook :D

    ehhh the screen is touchable -.- its confirmed and the keyboard and mousepad works too
