According to CNET, eBay’s PayPal is in discussion with Google about adding their own payment services to Android devices.

If the dialogue between Google and PayPal regarding the use of PayPal for Android purchases goes well, it could be on Android based smartphones by the end of the year.

Android applications are currently purchased through a consumers credit card or Google’s own PayPal competitor, Google Checkout. You can download PayPal via the Android Market for free. PayPal currently has applications on several mobile platforms.

Would you rather use Google Checkout or PayPal for Android purchases? Let us know in the comments.

I wish it was as easy as buying a 25 dollar Google card and then using the code to buy things or charge it to my wireless account

Carriers would love to get the system to charge to your wireless account, so I’m sure that’s happening for many of us in the next few years. The current method of having an account tied to your Google account is preferable to me than Paypal though.

@Howard , You’re right. The method of having an account tied to my Google account is much preferable as of now. Unless PayPal can make the process easier and without nuisance, I wouldn’t have a problem.

However, this could benefit those PayPal users who are just switching to Android. Those who already have a PayPal account wouldn’t need to set up an account with Google Checkout.

I support this idea only if they will open paid applications in Android Market for all countries.

    I second that anarek
As in Sweden where I live, there is no paid apps in Market at all!
May it be that Google Checkout don’t exist here? I’ve used paypal for many years, but this is the first time I even hear of Google Checkout

I’d support Google adding PayPal to the market, especially if it meant developers in countries, like Canada, which are unable to charge for applications would be able to start doing so.

They move from one page to another through links and keep indexing whatever they find along the path. Since there are more than 20 billion pages on the web, it is not possible for a crawler to check a website for any update or modification.
