T-Mobile G1 V2 Bigfoot Image Discovered

The guys over at BoyGeniusReport.com have managed to unearth what they believe is the T-Mobile G1 v2 (Bigfoot) handset.

We first heard about G1 v2 Bigfoot early last week from a leaked T-Mobile 2009 roadmap that listed possible release dates for a number of android powered devices.

Other than this rendered image very little information is known about the T-Mobile G1 v2, but BGR are claiming that the device will be available in October priced at $148 with a 2-year agreement at Walmart.

  1. I love that it moves the USB port to the side, instead of sticking into your palm when you’re trying to type and charge, or type and use a wired headset. Excellent design decision. Looks like a more accessible card slot too.

Will it have a 5 row keyboard?
Will it have a tilt screen (like the touch pro 2)?
Will it have a 3.5mm headset jack?
Will it have a dpad on the slide-out keyboard (there’s a big button to the left of the left shift key.. makes me wonder what else is on the keyboard besides qwerty keys)?

I want to know SO much more about this device :-)

  2. This might very well be the Android phone for me. I’ve been disappointed by so very few of the new ones announced having a keyboard.

  3. Says the g1 is being stopped (it will be starting to be offered by other carriers thoguh) and tmo will be 1 step ahead with this badasssssss looking unit…. I like the look and wonder how much an upgrade from m1 g1 would be….they should make it a cheap upgrade for us loyal g1 users! (hopefully w/o contract renew )
