Well look at what just showed up. Looks like owners of the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi are in for another soak test for “an early preview of a new software release,” which I can only assume is an update from the current Android 4.0.3 to maybe 4.0.4 or 4.0.5. Not sure what else it could be. It was only in January that the Xoom was updated to Ice Cream Sandwich.
Below is the email that was sent out to Xoom owners who are members of the Motorola Feedback Network. This email is pretty much their standard boilerplate message that goes out before a soak test starts.
Hi,
Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of the Motorola Wi-Fi Xoom to participate in an early preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Motorola Wi-Fi Xoom, please excuse and ignore this email.
Click this link to take a short enrollment survey if you wish to take part. Note that you must be a member in good standing of the Motorola Owners’ Forums to be included. The registration window is can close without notice so please respond as quickly as possible.
This is a confidential test under the terms of the Motorola Feedback Network. Do not post any details or information about this on any public sites.
Thanks — please understand that start times are always fluid. We ask for your patience if you register but don’t hear from us right away.
Matt

It’s updates like this that puts a check in the “pros” column of getting a pure Google Experience device. Anyone else get the email?
