    I’m still waiting as well! I still haven’t gotten the Froyo (android 2.2) upgrade yet on my motorola droid. I agree that it’s frustrating! I just want some of that froyo on my droid already!

    Been waiting since July, like I hope this week?

    got the update today. not too happy however. aside from flash and the app market added features, i find the phone fc’s alot more and even froze to the point that i needed to pull the battery out, however it may have been an amp. i have alot more un-used apps popping up in my task list of running apps leading to battery problems. also i had to shut my phone off and turn it back on because it was sending calls straight to vm. i don’t know if i need to uninstall apps because they are not compatible or if the update is flawed and everyone will have these issues. i guess we’ll see…

    oh, and i only tried the flash for one video but i was not impressed. it glitched out like bad reception on a digital cable/box and threw the timing off of the sound even when i tried letting it load fully and playing and reloading. hopefully i can find the problem or the developers can solve the issues. i have an unrooted droid and all apps are from the market, however i’m really thinking about rooting to get rid of the 2.2 ota update.

    Just go get a nexus one and be done with it. Froyo is faster than any PC internet service I’ve ever used

    @brendon

    “Froyo is faster than any PC internet service I’ve ever used”

    Does that mean anything to anybody? Seems like random words arranged in a sentence… Froyo is an operating system, NOT an internet service.

    Why IS this taking so long? I’m getting a bit pissy here.

    got the 2.2 update last week. not sure if it was worth the wait. having some issues fc often. the market widget is diabled. can’t view the market now, the browser is much faster that’s about it. have to take it back to a vzw store to configure the problems.

    Anyone know how to make the 2.2 ota update notice go away if you have rooted your droid and like it as it is? If you do perform the update to get rid of the notice, can you go back and run the manual 2.2 update.zip file again and flash it back to what you had before? My son who a couple of weeks ago did the manual 2.2 update which gave him flash and wifi teathering. when he got the verizon update notice he performed the update and now his wifi teathering no longer works. Can he flash back just by running the older update.zip file he still has on his phone?
